On October 3, 2010, FCC will be holding a Blessing of the Animals Service at 3pm on the front lawn of the church.  Our special guest for this event is Dr. Laura Hobgood-Oster, Professor of Religion at Southwestern University in Texas and daughter of longtime FCC pastor, Rev. Dr. Chris Hobgood.  Dr. Hobgood-Oster has written a soon-to-be published book entitled The Friends We Keep: Unleashing Christianity's Compassion for Animals (you can find it here).  Please mark this date on your calendars and plan to bring your pets along!
