First Christian Church is now in its 80th year of faithful service and witness to the Alexandria community. We are striving to serve God faithfully and respond to the call of Jesus Christ through worship, service, education and fellowship. We also seek to be an open minded, open-hearted community that is inclusive of all races, nationalities and lifestyles. At First Christian Church, you will find persons from all walks of life working side by side, drawn together by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, who makes us one. You are not only invited to learn more about us in this space, but also to join us for Sunday worship or one of our other programs. We’re an open Christian community, and we are committed to making you feel welcome among us.
Upcoming Events at FCC Alexandria
Naked Spirituality is a new sermon series at FCC based on the book “Naked Spirituality” by Brian McLaren. The book and therefore the series are about stripping away the trappings of religion in the sense that coming to church and engaging in its rituals that can create layers that might obscure a real and vital relationship with God. It’s for people who have no interest in a fake or forced spirituality and want to strip away all the pretense and get down to the naked reality of real life and a real relationship with God. Is that you? Come and join us!
